Calmreels videos are abstract works that act as a "calmness latte," allowing you to enjoy them for their beauty, quirkiness, or creative content, or, just let them relax you with their easy flowing style. These short videos are perfect for your computer, DVD player, mobile devices and more. See disclaimers on this page for information about various media formats.
To get your videos, start by clicking "browse videos." On the catalog page, you can preview the videos available by clicking on the still images. Clicking "more info" will give you details about the content or the making of the video. You can also read comments from other visitors on these Calmreels.
You can purchase these videos by buying Calmreel credits, less than a dollar per video! You can also send calmness lattes as a gift to someone anywhere in the world. For information on how to do this, please click "Give a Gift" in the left column.
Once you are logged-in, go to the "test video" page. Our system will automatically determine the type of system it thinks you are using to view the site (PC, Macintosh, mobile phone, etc.) and based on that, it will recommend the right format and size for you to download, indicated by yellow diamonds next to the corresponding format, device and size. If you are not sure what to download, just go with the default recommendations it presents.
You can also override these recommended choices by clicking other options. You can download as many different versions as you like and try them on your target device until you get the combination that works best for you. You can always change this setting later in your "profile."
Please be aware that these videos were designed to work very well on mobile phones, but it is not easy to get them directly from the site to the phone. Therefore you may want to first download them to your computer and then transfer them to your phone. If this is the way you choose to use the site, you must be sure to select the format and size that best suits your phone. To get the video to your phone from your computer, consult your mobile service provider's support.
The responsibility for making sure that the video you download is right for your device is yours. You can download the free and test videos as many times as you like and in as many different sizes or formats as you like. Be sure that the one you select to use with your purchased "Calmreel Credits" is the one that worked in your test.
The videos are inexpensive and can be viewed for free here on the site, so there is no warranty for how they will play on your machine, BUT we do certify that you will get the video you select, in the format and size you select, and that you can use it wherever you like, on as many devices as you like.
We have worked hard to make this system work with mobile devices of all kinds, but due to restrictions placed on media by many networks (you know who you are), we have found it uneccessarily difficult to transfer these files to many phones. Until the networks remove restrictions on size and file type for transmission, we cannot guarantee that these videos will get to your phone. That is why we ask you to do the test video first, to be sure.
Our payment processor is Paypal, which means you can use a Paypal account to pay directly, or if you do not have a Paypal account, they will accept Master Card, VISA, American Express, and Discover. You can even use a card instead of your Paypal account if you so choose (and the card is not attached to a Paypal account).
